Rose-Eden House

History

Rose-Eden House was built in 1876 by a Mr Phillip Trelore Hill who was the local Headmaster of Goolwa Primary School until 1884 having spent 20 years there.

In 1886 Mr Hill sold the house which was formerly known as Hygiene House, the house encounted various owners until in 1913 the Minister of Education bought the house and it was used as a residence for the Local Headmasters.

They continued to own the house for 60 years until it was sold in 1973 to Mrs Fay Sullivan who continued to live in it for over 30 years before she passed away.

The house was purchased by us in 2005 and we have extensively brought back to life the beautiful house and garden and renamed it Rose-Eden House.
